Starting anew, but not by choice

Since my last entry, Rudi has gone missing. By 'missing' I mean that since two weeks ago today, I have not received a single message of any kind from him. I do not think it is a coincidence that on the very last day he communicated to me by e-mail, the whole of the eastern side of India was hit by a cyclone. Of course, it was barely mentioned on the news as they were oh-so concerned about hurricanes passing over the USA. It turns about hundreds of thousands were evacuated from India's east coast, and that hundreds were killed in the storm itself, and I have not heard from Rudi who was in Calcutta at the time. I am running out of options. It seems that the Indian Embassy and a telegram is my last hope of finding out what happened. The only problem is how I explain to them that the person I am searching for is an Indian citizen with an Indian family who was only working in the UK, and who was not family of mine but who was my 'partner' (- a term Indians can't comprehend as same sex relationships between men are still illegal there). I guess I'll just have to tell them some version of the truth.

In the two weeks of not knowing, I have been keeping my job(s) pretty well and been getting paid! I've also been out with Anny and Emily and my Mum has returned to help me with moving home. Having now moved home I am in the middle of loads of sorting out issues, and my Mum has gone back to Bletchley to live with Dad for good. I would put down how I feel in this journal but really it's kinda obvious given the circumstances.
